On 11 July, the first Sansusi evening was held in the courtyard of the Rucka Artist Residency

On the evening of the 11th of July the team of the alternative chamber music festival Sansusi invited the concert goers to engage in a creative provocation – enjoy a cultural dessert in four layers during a concert in the courtyard of Rucka Artist Residency.

The evening began with a musical performance from Ieva Saliete, which combined the Baroque and contemporary musical pieces. It was followed by a contemporary dance performance Labrys, performed by Krišjānis Sants and Ieva Gaurilčikaite. The most emotional part of the evening was the third round – the pianist brawl, in which pianist Ēvalds Lazarevičs and pianist brawl champion Agnese Egliņa “fought” each other. The evening concluded with the traditional 20-minute disco featuring musical pieces from DJ Platons Buravickis.

Since 2016, Sansusi evenings have taken place in Riga. Cesis is the first city after Riga, where Sansusi evening is organised. The seventh Sansusi festival took place in Aknitste this year from 7 to 9 August.
